What happens when a queer teen finally refuses to stay invisible? Bestselling author Cameron Stone delivers an explosive and unflinching coming-of-age novel with Queer, a gut-punch of a story about identity, rebellion, and the razor’s edge between activism and anarchy.
Queer follows sixteen-year-old Elliot, a Black, gay teen who’s mastered the art of being unseen in a school—and a society—that doesn’t want to see him anyway. He’s made it this far by staying quiet.
Until Hadrian shows up.
Hadrian is non-binary. Magnetic. Unafraid. And they’re here to blow up the status quo.
When Hadrian announces their candidacy for student government and calls out the school’s systemic failures in a viral speech, a firestorm ignites. Elliot is pulled into a movement that demands to be heard—and refuses to be polite about it.
As the line between protest and destruction begins to blur, Elliot is faced with an impossible choice: stay silent and survive, or speak up and risk everything.
Cameron Stone’s Queer is more than a coming-out story—it’s a call-out. A fearless, rage-fueled, tender novel that confronts identity, intersectionality, and the dangerous weight of being young and queer in a world built to erase you.
Queer is for every teen who’s ever been told they’re “too much” or “not enough”—and dared to exist anyway.
About The Author
Cameron Stone has been telling stories since he was four, always looking for ways to capture the world as he saw it. When his mom politely reminded him in a scathing yet honest review of his first book that bats aren’t birds, the four-year-old Cameron doubled down and wrote another book. This time with rainbows and flying snakes.
Cameron writes thrillers and the supernatural for the “weird” and “queer” kids, with the hope that they will see themselves in stories he never had when he sashayed out of the closet. He lives in Southern Arizona with his husband.
